Brief
The L1 Technician provides frontline support within the NOC, managing alerts, performing basic network troubleshooting, and implementing straightforward network changes. This role focuses on ensuring the stability of the network infrastructure by responding to and resolving incidents.

Reponsibilities

  • Monitor network alerts and triage incidents to determine urgency and next steps.

  • Implement basic network changes such as firewall rule adjustments and routing updates.

  • Assist with upgrading and patching network equipment, including Juniper devices.

  • Document and escalate issues to L2 and L3 teams as necessary.

  • Conduct regular checks on network health and performance.

  • Maintain accurate records of actions taken and network configurations.

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of networking principles (routing, switching, firewalls).

  • Experience with any network equipment (Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, etc.). Familiarity with Juniper is a plus but not required.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new technologies.

  • Good documentation and communication skills.

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

  • Willing to work on-site in Taytay, Rizal.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Mathematics, Science & Technology, or equivalent
