The Role

CodingChiefs is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and hardworking Recruitment Specialist to assist with our recruiting activities. The successful hire will be a part of a small team of recruiters and be in charge of the pre-screening process, from sourcing to setting up interviews. The Recruitment Specialist will collaborate with the rest of the recruitment team to create a positive experience for candidates and hiring teams throughout the recruiting process.

This role requires the consistent drive and passion that comes with supporting a growing start-up. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have strong interpersonal, listening, and speaking skills. A background in sourcing through various channels would be a huge advantage.

The Duties and responsibilities:

  • Creatively source candidates through various channels (e.g., social networking, internet posting, mining, traditional networking, referrals, etc.).

  • Perform pre-screening calls to analyze candidates’ abilities and skills-sets.

  • Set up and coordinate interview schedules with appropriate staff and candidates.

  • Ensure positive candidate experiences for every candidate

  • Provide clear, thorough, and timely communications/feedback to candidates and hiring teams.

  • Collaborate with the recruitment team in discussing recruitment needs and developing strategies and goals to fill positions.

  • Fully utilizes the applicant tracking system, ensuring that information is updated timely, accurately, and thoroughly.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in Recruitment.

  • Perform ad-hoc recruitment tasks such as assisting in recruitment marketing efforts, onboarding programs, job fairs

Job requirements

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has at least 1 year of experience in IT recruitment

  • Demonstrates ability to source passive candidates effectively.

  • Passionate about delivering an excellent candidate experience.

  • Ambitious, efficient, and stable under tight deadlines and competing priorities.

  • Ability to build relationships with managers and colleagues

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficient computer skills for accuracy in reporting and recording information into various systems, using Google Workspace Applications and Slack

  • Ability to work independently well as part of a team on multiple priorities.

  • Remote working experience in a technology startup will be an added advantage.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience
