With expertise in market localization, HR strategy, and compliance, ZooKeep specializes in helping businesses scale efficiently, focusing on Japan and Southeast Asia. Their lean, agile team is now working to modernize and professionalize their platform to better serve startups, high-growth companies, and enterprises.

Responsibilities:

• Design, development, and deployment of scalable web applications, from frontend interfaces to backend services.

• Build and maintain UI workflows using modern frameworks like React.js and Next.js, ensuring seamless user experiences.

• Develop robust, secure, and authenticated APIs using Django/Python and integrate third-party services and data sources via APIs or ETL processes.

• Architect and implement analytics dashboards that leverage analytics storage solutions to deliver meaningful insights.

• Ensure high performance, observability, and reliability of platforms through effective use of software instrumentation and monitoring tools.

• Leverage containerization tools like Docker and cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) to streamline deployments and maintain system scalability.

• Drive and uphold DevOps and CI/CD best practices, contributing to efficient and reliable release cycles.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including product, design, support, and operations—to solve real-world customer problems.
  Automate development processes to reduce manual errors, improve testing accuracy, and maintain overall team health and productivity.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to hiring efforts, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

• Make strategic technical decisions while maintaining flexibility to pivot as business needs evolve.

• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to align engineering work with business objectives.
  Advocate for clean, maintainable, and secure code, following industry best practices and internal coding standards.

• Identify opportunities to integrate third-party solutions or tools that enhance product development and team efficiency.

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on full-stack engineering.

• Proven track record of shipping production-ready web products—including UI workflows and authenticated APIs—and collaborating with support teams to resolve customer issues.

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js, Django/Python, and modern frameworks like Next.js and deployment platforms such as Vercel.
  Experience in building and shipping analytics dashboards, integrating with analytics storage solutions.

• Proficiency in consuming unstructured data via APIs or ETL processes from third-party platforms.

• Deep understanding of software instrumentation, monitoring, and observability tools.

• Strong background in containerization technologies such as Docker and cloud platforms like AWS.

• Skilled in using developer collaboration tools like Slack, GitHub, and code repositories for efficient communication and delivery.

• Prior experience in hiring, mentoring, and building high-performing engineering teams.

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to scale teams and enforce engineering best practices.

• Passion for process automation, reducing manual work, streamlining QA, triaging bugs, and ensuring healthy release cycles.
  Ownership-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and resolve both technical and team-level challenges.
