CC.Talent is seeking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer that plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products related to payment orchestration. Responsible for identifying defects, validating software functionality, and upholding defined quality standards. QA Engineers utilise a combination of manual/automation testing techniques and tools to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and security of payment operations. Leverage Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to segment our organization and codebase into distinct value domains. Client Details

Our client is a rapidly growing Series A funded fintech company in the payment industry. They are expanding their operations by launching an engineering hub in Southeast Asia and have chosen us as their trusted partner to make it happen.

Responsibilities

• Test Plan Development: Senior QA Engineers lead in developing comprehensive test plans.

• Test Case Design: They design advanced test cases, focusing on all possible usage patterns.

• Manual Testing Execution: Senior QA Engineers perform thorough manual testing, identifying subtle issues.

• Defect Documentation: They provide detailed defect documentation with a profound understanding of software intricacies.

• Collaboration with Development Teams: Senior QA Engineers collaborate closely with development teams, driving efficient issue resolution.

• Performance and Load Testing: They conduct rigorous performance and load testing to ensure system resilience.

• Security Testing: Senior QA Engineers employ advanced security testing methodologies to protect financial data.

• Participation in Software Releases: They oversee the transition of software to the live environment, ensuring a smooth release.

• Continuous Learning: Senior QA Engineers lead in adopting new tools and best practices, ensuring their skill set remains relevant.

• Feedback Loop Maintenance: They maintain a vigilant eye on user feedback and system logs, continuously enhancing software quality.

• Leadership and Mentoring:

  • Provide leadership and inspire the testing team, championing a culture of excellence and guiding junior engineers (QA) toward testing best practices.

  • Mentor and coach engineers (QA) team members, nurturing their skills in test design, testing planning and defect documentation/management

• On-Standby Responsiveness: Be on standby to respond promptly to issues, calls, and other system-related matters as they arise. Work closely with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues with agility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of QA experience with strong expertise in manual testing.

• Proficient in test planning, test case design, and defect management.

• Strong background in performance, load, and security testing for transaction-heavy systems.

• Skilled in using JIRA, TestRail and Git tools for QA processes.

• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release management.

• Proven ability to mentor junior QA engineers and lead quality initiatives.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.

• Willingness to provide on-standby support for production issues.
  

Good To Have Skills:

• Experience with GitLab CI, MongoDB

• Extensive knowledge of API and its testing approaches

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

• Experience working in fast growth scaleup

• Paytech experience 

• Are a self-starter (curious, motivated and resourceful), with an eagerness to learn
