Client Details

Our client is a rapidly growing Series A funded fintech company in the payment industry. They are expanding their operations by launching an engineering hub in Southeast Asia and have chosen us as their trusted partner to make it happen.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development:

  • Define and drive the team's vision and direction, inspiring members and fostering personal and professional growth.

  • Identify training opportunities and mentor engineers to optimize team performance using data-driven strategies.

  • Promote a collaborative environment and lead by example in continuous skill enhancement.

• Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain and advance technical standards, ensuring alignment with industry benchmarks and organizational goals.

  • Enforce minimum standards through regular assessments to ensure ongoing compliance and quality baselines.

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to create low-level solution designs based on high-level architecture.

  • Take ownership of technical backlogs and ensure proper planning and allocation of resources.

• Project Planning & Execution:

  • Interpret functional requirements provided by the Product Owner, ensuring the team has a clear understanding of deliverables.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, and planning sessions, ensuring alignment and collaboration.

  • Own and delegate responsibilities within Agile processes, ensuring timely delivery and continuous improvement.

• Innovation & Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging exploration of new technologies and methodologies.

  • Act as a liaison with stakeholders to ensure technical initiatives align with broader business objectives.

  • Advocate for the technical roadmap, ensuring 30% of team capacity is allocated to tech tasks.

• Technical Implementation & Problem-Solving:

  • Make informed decisions on technologies, tools, and frameworks to ensure scalability and future growth.

  • Address and overcome complex technical challenges, maintaining project integrity and efficiency.

• Contribute to the codebase, enforce high-quality standards, and engage in pair programming sessions.

• Software Life Cycle Management:

  • Manage software life cycle, implement security patches, and continuously scan for vulnerabilities.

  • Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain quality and security compliance.

• On-Standby Responsiveness:

  • Be available to promptly address system-related issues and collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve them efficiently.

Qualifications

• Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with TypeScript/Node.js, Java, SDK development, QA, and software development testing.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Deep understanding of Agile development practices and DevOps tools for CI/CD.

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to guide teams towards success.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of UI/UX design principles.

  • Familiarity with database administration and optimization.

  • Experience working in payment orchestration or fintech environments.

Open to an in-office requirement, starting with 4 days per week for the first 3 months during onboarding, transitioning to a hybrid model of 2 days per week in-office.
